This beautiful, finely hewn, Bull Beam frame of the Mohawk Valley of New York features large cross-section posts and timbers, with the main bearing posts measuring one foot square, and the largest beam measuring 12” wide by nearly 20” deep and clear spanning the thirty-foot width of the barn. The roof system is well-supported by the large timbers below, and the lofty queen-posts, purlin-plates and common-rafters add efficiently to the strength of the barn.
